ROOTS ACROSS THE WATER
A Juneteenth Fan Painting Experience
Wednesday, June 24
6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Canalete Restaurant & Museum
Casco Viejo, Panama City
Different Shores. Shared Roots.
Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, the day the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas learned they were free. Today, it serves as a reminder of resilience, freedom, and the sacrifices made by those who came before us.
Those of us from the United States recognize the importance of Juneteenth to our history. Although we have relocated to another country, we have not forgotten our roots, our ancestors, or the sacrifices that made it possible for us to enjoy the freedoms and opportunities we have today.
Join us as we remember our heritage through art, culture, conversation, and community.
