Rooted Rhythm Drum and Dance workshop (Beginner Friendly)

A 2.5-Hour Drum Workshop & Earth Dance Session (No skills required)

There is a primal frequency that exists within the pulse of a drum—a rhythm that mirrors the heartbeat and the natural cycles of the earth. When the drum sounds, the heart naturally asks the body to move. Rooted Rhythm is an invitation to answer that call, bridging the gap between the hand on the skin and the foot on the ground. It is a space where we move together in a cohesion that feels like magic.

We come together to build a shared language of sound and motion. In this space, there are no spectators—only participants in a primal force that brings us into total cohesion without expectation or self-judgment.

• The Practice: We do not learn rigid steps. Instead, we learn how to feel the rhythm and reclaim our innate connection to the earth through the pulse. We honor the rhythms of nature through free-flowing movements that hold personal meaning to us. You are the architect of your own expression, choosing how to honor the beat within your own body. You may choose to drum, to dance, or to move between both as the spirit takes you.
• The Magic: In our supportive, non-judgmental environment, the "static" of self-consciousness falls away. We fill the air with simple, inspiring lyrics—mantras from the heart that act as our shared compass. We aren't here to perform; we are here to connect. We practice, we breathe, and we find the groove.
• The Co-Creation: The workshop culminates in a high-energy, free-flowing Ecstatic Dance experience. The drummers provide the live, pulsing soundscape for the dancers to soar. This final hour is co-created by everyone in the room—a live feedback loop where the drum and the dance become one single, living entity.

• Group Cohesion: Experience the power of drummers and dancers moving as one.
• Drums Provided: All Djembe drums are provided for the group.
• Fluid Roles: Feel free to explore the power of the drum and the freedom of the dance floor. You are welcome to be both the beat and the movement.
• The Final Hour: A live, unscripted ecstatic dance session where the energy we’ve built is finally unleashed.

• What to Wear: Wear clothes that allow for a full range of motion. Bare feet are encouraged so you can feel the vibration of the drums through the floor.
• What to Bring: Just your presence, your breath, and a reusable water bottle.
• Environment: A safe, non-judgmental space designed for raw expression and rhythmic exploration.
