About this Event
Join us for a FREE, powerful community conference centered on dementia, caregiving, and health equity in communities of African descent. Dementia disproportionately impacts Black families, yet culturally responsive information and resources are too often out of reach. This conference is designed to close that gap.
The event will feature expert presentations, caregiver panels, and resource tabling that honor lived experience, cultural values, and community strengths. Together, we’ll explore current disparities in diagnosis, treatment, and caregiving—while highlighting practical tools, advocacy strategies, and supports that meet families where they are.
Whether you are a caregiver, healthcare professional, community leader, or simply want to learn more, this conference offers a welcoming space to learn, connect, and build solutions rooted in culture and care.
What to expect:
- Insightful presentations from clinicians, researchers, and community experts
- Caregiver panels sharing real stories, challenges, and resilience
- Tabling with culturally informed, community-based resources
- Opportunities for dialogue, connection, and collective action
Let’s come together to advance understanding, uplift caregivers, and work toward a future where every family affected by dementia receives equitable, culturally affirming care.
