Friends of the forest Unite! Rejoice! Feast!A Time of thanks and giving is upon us and as of such I would warmly like to welcome you to a banquet of trust, cunning, friendship, novelty, a dash of betrayal, and endless joy, suspense, and fun!
The name of the Game is ROOT ROYALE, a custom experience of the board game ROOT.
WHAT IS ROOT?
In the game Root, you enter a vast, enchanted forest filled with rival factions—each with unique ambitions and strengths—vying for influence over its towering trees, hidden clearings, and winding rivers. Here, you’ll step into the paws, feathers, teeth and claws of these factions, playing out a thrilling game of adventure, strategy, and just the right amount of mischief, where alliances can shift in a heartbeat, ambushes lurk around every corner, and one clever move might be all it takes to turn the tide. Every round, the balance of power changes, as each player adapts and schemes to out rule the others, uncovering thrilling twists, and hidden motives along the way. In this forest, alive with mystery and endless surprises, only one ruler will emerge—will it be you? Join us and find out!
GAME INFO:
ROOT ROYAL is designed for an epic showdown of up to 15 players (minimum 8), all competing across a massive, custom map that blends four unique board regions into one!
Each board operates independently each round, so instead of waiting for all 14 other players to make their moves, you’re only waiting for 2-3—keeping the action fast, fierce, and unpredictable!
As Root Royal is an asymmetrical game, we’ll finalize faction choices before the event on the 23rd, allowing everyone to familiarize themselves with their faction’s unique mechanics. This preparation will help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all!
END TIME?
Since we can’t predict an exact end time, we’re planning for an all-day event filled with fun and excitement. To keep everyone energized, we’ll have regular breaks, plenty of snacks, and optional outdoor activities to refresh and rejuvenate players. Get ready for an unforgettable day of strategy, camaraderie, and adventure!
FOOD!
This event welcomes players of all levels, and in the spirit of the season, we’ll be having a grand Feast! I’ll be preparing a Guava-Smoked Turkey and invite everyone to bring a dish to share—something we’ll discuss more as the event approaches—so we may snack, munch, and be merry together.
