We invite you and your friends to join us on February 16th at 3:00pm for a free concert, presented by St. John's Episcopal Church, featuring Traditional Gospel Singer Roosevelt André Credit. Mr. Credit is a Bass-Baritone, performances include: (Met) Die Meisterzinger, Porgy and Bess, and X, The Life and Times of Malcolm X; (Broadway/National tour) The Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, Hal Prince’s Show Boat. Other performances include Le Prophéte with Bard Summerscape Opera, and Oscar Award winning movie 12 Years A Slave. Roosevelt Credit’s music was featured in the award winning documentary Big Little Sis. He can also be seen on the Last Week Tonight with John Oliver: “Our Lady of Perpetual Exemption” parody segment. Roosevelt is a member of The Choir of St. Ignatius Loyola in New York, composer, conductor, recording artist, and is also an Eagle Scout. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Oregon State University, where he was awarded the Most Distinguished Alumni Award. Roosevelt Credit has a Masters degree in Opera Performance and a Masters degree in Conducting, both from Northwestern University. Roosevelt is no stranger to the Bangor community; he has performed alongside John Haskell for more than 15 years. He is excited to be in concert at St. John’s Episcopal and working with John Bapst Memorial High School singers under the direction of Colin Graebert. Produced by Roger George.
