City Art Depot warmly invites everyone to attend the opening of 'Room for the River' by Shannon Williamson.
Opening preview: 5.30–7pm Tuesday 4th November 2025 in our gallery at 96 Disraeli Street, Christchurch. We have plenty of off street parking.
Exhibition runs: 4-24 November 2025.

In her latest body of work, 'Room for the River', Shannon Williamson opens a floodgate of subject matter to probe at the boundaries between domestic and creative space. Capturing and transforming the transient moments that form the meat of daily life, her recent paintings create peculiar fictional spaces which speak to the permeable layers between the personal and the environmental.
Shannon Williamson will also give an artist talk in the gallery at 1pm on Thursday the 6th of November, all welcome.
