Rooftop Yoga at U3 Coffee

Enjoy rooftop yoga at U3 Coffee, 7430 Madison in Forest Park. Cultivate calmness, centering, strength, flexibility, resilience, and mindfulness in this 60 minute outdoor class, then linger for your favorite handcrafted coffee, made by the talented team at U3.

Classes are held Friday mornings from 7-8 and Thursday evenings from 5:30 - 6:30 weather permitting, on the peaceful second-floor rooftop deck (walk-up access only) and will integrate yoga postures, breathwork, meditation, restorative practices, stretching, strengthening, and flow.

Suggested offering is $20 (coffee not included.)

In the event that class is cancelled due to the weather, a refund or a credit for a future class will be issued.

By registering, you acknowledge that you are responsible for your own body and well-being during the class, knowing that you can always stop, skip, or modify a pose and you agree to the terms in the waiver below.

Parking is easy; use our courtyard lot next door or find free street parking on Beloit.

YOGA CLASS PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT AND LIABILITY WAIVER (ILLINOIS)

By participating in any yoga class, event, or related activity (collectively, the “Activities”) offered by Laura McNamara and/or U3 Coffee (collectively, the “Released Parties”), I agree as follows:

1. Health Certification
I certify that I am physically able to participate in the Activities and have no medical condition that would prevent my safe participation. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a physician prior to participation if I have any health concerns.

2. Acknowledgment of Risks
I understand that yoga involves physical activity, including stretching, balance, and movement, and may take place indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions. I acknowledge that participation carries inherent risks, including but not limited to muscle strains, sprains, falls, heat-related illness, aggravation of pre-existing conditions, and other personal injuries.

3. Assumption of Risk
I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks of injury, illness, damage, or loss arising out of or related to my participation in the Activities, whether such risks are known or unknown.

4. Participant Responsibility
I agree to monitor my own physical condition and to stop, rest, or modify any activity as needed. I understand that I am solely responsible for my safety and well-being during participation.

5. RELEASE OF LIABILITY (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE)
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY ILLINOIS LAW, I HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, AND DISCHARGE THE RELEASED PARTIES FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS OR CAUSES OF ACTION FOR INJURY, ILLNESS, DAMAGE, OR LOSS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO MY PARTICIPATION IN THE ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING CLAIMS ARISING FROM THE ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASED PARTIES.

I understand that this release does not apply to willful and wanton misconduct, which cannot be waived under Illinois law.

6. INDEMNIFICATION
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising from my participation in the Activities.

7. MEDIA RELEASE
From time to time, U3 may photograph and/or record Activities. I grant permission to the Released Parties to photograph and/or record and to use such media for promotional and marketing purposes, including on websites and social media, without compensation. If I do not wish to be photographed or recorded, I will notify the instructor prior to the start of class, and every effort will be made to honor my request.

8. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable under Illinois law, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

9. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF UNDERSTANDING
I acknowledge that I have carefully read this Agreement, fully understand its contents, and understand that I am giving up substantial legal rights, including the right to sue. By registering, I agree to the terms of this Agreement voluntarily and intend for it to be a complete and unconditional release of liability to the greatest extent allowed by Illinois law.
