🌿✨ Rongoā Māori Wānanga Series ✨🌿
We’re excited to open registrations for our upcoming wānanga series on rongoā Māori. This is more than a workshop it is a journey of whakapapa, connection, and growth.
🌸 Over several months we will take a hikoi together, learning step by step, building our matauranga of the foundations of Rongoā Māori, To honour the kaupapa, we ask that you commit to the full series of wānanga.
🌱 What you’ll experience:
Whanaungatanga — connecting with others in a safe, supportive space
Plant Identification — getting to know native rākau and their healing uses.
Karakia — honouring atua and ngāhere
Whakapapa — pūrakau that ground us to our identity, tūpuna and whenua.
Ngā Atua — exploring the atua connected to rongoā and wellbeing
Maramataka — discovering a more deep understanding of Maramataka.
Tikanga & Kawa — safety and tikanga in gathering and preparing rongoā.
Balm-Making — hands-on practice creating rongoā products
Hauhake — sustainable gathering practices
Plus many more interesting topics that share the Rongoā Māori foundations.
🤎 This wānanga is about more than rākau — it’s about weaving together people, stories, and the mātauranga of Rongoā Māori.
