Thank you for submitting your online application to volunteer with RMHC South Central Ontario!

We’d like to invite you to attend an Information Session at the Ronald McDonald House in Hamilton. These sessions are designed for volunteer applicants to give you a deeper understanding of our organization’s Mission, Volunteer Program, expectations, and policies & procedures. It’s also a great opportunity for us to meet you, answer your questions, and offer a brief tour of the House.

Please note that attending an Information Session does not guarantee a volunteer position with RMHC South Central Ontario. If we would like to proceed after the session, we will reach out to schedule an interview and discuss next steps. Due to limited volunteer shifts and the high volume of applications we receive, we cannot guarantee a spot for every applicant.

Please note that volunteers must commit to a set shift for at least 8 months (e.g., every other Wednesday from 12-4pm) and complete an extensive clearance process, including a police check and health clearance through Hamilton Health Sciences if volunteering in the hospital. If you are able to make this commitment, we’d be thrilled to have you join us at the Information Session.

When you arrive at the main entrance, please ring the doorbell (located to your right) so our receptionist can let you in. We'll begin with a brief presentation about the volunteer program, followed by a quick tour of the main floor of the House, if possible. Feel free to bring a bag, water bottle, or any personal items you may need. The session should last about 1 hour, give or take.
