A Guggenheim Fellow and Astaire Award–winning choreographer, Ronald K. Brown has created an “irresistibly kinetic” (The New York Times) body of work bridging contemporary dance and African diasporic traditions. At just 19, he founded EVIDENCE, a Brooklyn-based company dedicated to reflecting the stories, cultures, and shared experiences of communities through movement. Blending contemporary, West African, and Caribbean influences, his choreography explores themes of identity, spirituality, and resilience. Brown’s work has been commissioned by leading companies including Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Ballet Hispánico, and PHILADANCO! EVIDENCE performances are “breathtaking and life-sustaining and hopeful” (The Boston Globe).
