Romjuls would not be replete without a live performance and Funk For Forest take on the annual honour again, signing off a bumper year for the Norwegian outfit with a bag full of releases in 2025 and more to come in 2026. Ora the Molecule plays us out from the basement in what has been an incredible year for the artist and DJ too, while our newest bass outfit, Konkret Jungel takes on the sauna.

Funk for Forest
Funk For Forest is an eight-piece instrumental band formed with one wish; to make you dance. Mixing their influences from afrobeat, disco, balearic, jazz and funk, they provide their listeners with a delightful blend of dance music that is bound to give you restless leg syndrome. The band started out playing edits of tunes from inspirational sources like Manu Dibango, Eko Roosevelt, and Hugh Masaleka, to more modern heroes like Todd Terje and Ezra Collective, making DJ-like sets on the club scene in Oslo. The last year, the collective has spent time in their rehearsal-space and in the studio, further crafting their own sound and voice, whilst keeping their energy-filled live-shows running. A soulful sound filled with percussive elements, horns and danceable grooves is set to hit you with their debut EP, releasing in the spring of 2025.

Konkret Jungel
Konkret Jungel emerged from Oslos student nightlife, united by their shared love of Jungle and Drum and Bass and their extended family like UK Garage, UK Hardcore, Dubstep/140, Tech House and Bassline. After winning the contest for Oslo's best student DJs Konkret Jungel went on to play venues like Hausmania and Kulturhuset, while still staying true to their roots and regularly playing at various student pubs. Expect anything and everything UK bass.
Ora the Molecule
Ora The Molecule, dubbed Norway’s queen of disco by NRK, is a producer, DJ, songwriter, and composer. With Cerrone and Giorgio Moroder as her biggest inspirations, she creates Italo disco and 70s-inspired club music from a cabin in Ringerike, just outside Oslo. Ora The Molecule has toured as a supporting act for Röyksopp, Poolside, and the American group Young The Giant, and has also toured with the Norwegian band Hubbabubbaklubb. As a DJ, she has performed at major clubs such as KOKO in London and Point Éphémère in Paris, and has shared the decks with French artist Yuksek, Maya Jane Coles, Poolside, and Todd Terje. Her music has been remixed by Moon Boots, Gillian Gilbert from New Order, and Anika, to name a few. The unique blend of intergalactic electronica spiced with a serious yet surreal storytelling voice has given Ora a truly distinctive musical identity.
