Romantasy Junk Journaling Night at Slow Burn ❤️✂️
About this Event
Come hang out at Slow Burn Bookshop for a night of junk journaling all about the books, characters, and fantasy living rent-free in our heads. We're setting up in the castle-library glow of East Nashville's romance bookstore, and for a couple of hours it's just us, a big messy table of pretty stuff, and your favorite fictional obsessions.
You get a journal (or bring your own), we bring ALL the goodies, and you spend the evening filling your pages. Cut, glue, layer, and collage your way through spreads for your comfort reads and your unhinged ones.
Zero experience needed and absolutely no pressure to be "good" at this. Junk journaling is chaos in the best way. If you can rip paper and follow a vibe, you're already nailing it.
What's included:
✅ A whole spread of themed ephemera: fantasy backgrounds, vintage papers, tags, cards, florals, and romantasy-ish bits
✅ Stickers, washi, glue, and every tool you'll reach for
✅ Prompts to get you started, plus total freedom to go rogue
✅ Good company and even better book talk
Ticket Options:
1) Bring Your Own Journal $20: Already have a journal you're obsessed with? Bring it and raid the full supply table. Same night, same goodies, just skip the book.
2) With Journal $40: All the supplies plus a $40 worth fantasy hardcover journal to fill and take home. Perfect if it's your first time or you just want to show up empty-handed. If you select this option we will email you our selection of 15+ journals to choose from.
What to bring (optional but helpful):
- Any print outs of your favorite characters or worlds
- Any favorite paper bits you love: receipts, quotes, tickets, postcards, scrapbook paper, magazine pages, photos, etc.
- Your favorite book for inspiration
