ROLLY IN THE DARK
Since 2019, RITD has been crafting a distinctive blend of southern gothic storytelling, haunted folk atmosphere, and dark country roots, with songs that feel like midnight stories told around a fire. Led by Rolly’s powerful voice, the mournful poetic lyrics are evoking haunted landscapes, the magic of the night, the inner fire and the inner demons, devils and ghosts, and tales of souls who resist and transform, like old burned witches returning to claim their feminist liberation.
Combining older compositions written over two decades ago with newly created material, the band’s fresh lineup marks an exciting new phase in their ongoing (r)evolution.
