Roller Derby🚨 Skaters - Whether you’re a total beginner or have skating experience, this program is your chance to learn the fast-paced, full-contact sport of roller derby! We only have ONE intake a year - this is your time to join!

Want to be part of the action but not sure about skating? Albany Roller Derby is looking for referees and non-skating volunteers for the 2025 season! Whether you’re interested in helping run the game as a referee or supporting behind the scenes, we have a role for you!
Skaters and Referees you’ll:
🏃 Learn to roller skate for derby
🏆 Build strength, endurance & agility
🛼 Master derby-specific skating & strategy
🤝 Learn teamwork & game skills
💪 Gain confidence while having a blast!
No experience? No problem! Our welcoming coaches will take you from fresh skater to derby-ready in no time.
Gear Up! You’ll need quad skates, a helmet, a mouthguard, and protective pads (knee, elbow, and wrist). Don’t have gear yet? We can help! Free gear loan available.
