Join us for an in person workshop with Robert G. Lee brought to you by Vancro and the UVM ASL Club!This workshop will introduce participants to the Role-Space model of interpreting developed by Peter Llewellyn-Jones and Robert G. Lee. Participants will learn about the foundations of the model, the 3 Role-Space axes and will have opportunities to apply the model in small groups. Applications to specific domains of interpreting (e.g. medical, legal, conference, remote as well as hybrid interactions, etc.) will also be presented and discussed.

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
Define critical components of all interactions
Define the Role-Space model and the 3 axes of the model
Apply the Role-Space model to their own interpreting practice and that of others
Develop a plan to incorporate the principles discussed into future practice
Vancro Integrated Interpreting Services (VIIS) is an approved RID CMP sponsor for Continuing Education Activities. This workshop is offered for .5 CEUs in the Professional Studies area at the โlittle to noโ content knowledge level. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance. This workshop is intended for interpreters at all levels.
