What to Expect:

1. Walk-In Interviews: We understand that your time is valuable. That's why we're offering walk-in interviews throughout the event. Our hiring team will be on-site to meet with you, answer your questions, and discuss your career goals.

3. Multiple Locations: We have openings at our Oconomowoc location offering a variety of positions to suit your skills and interests.

4. Flexible Opportunities: We offer full-time, part-time, and PRN positions across all shifts. Whether you're looking for a consistent schedule or the flexibility to balance work with other commitments, we have options that can fit your lifestyle.

5. No Resume Required: While we recommend bringing a resume for a smoother process, it is not required. Come as you are and bring your enthusiasm and readiness to make a difference!

You're encouraged to register ahead of time and attend anytime between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM at our Rogers Behavioral Health Ladish Co. Foundation Center on April 14th and April 15th. Walk-ins are welcome too! Maps are located below for assitance in navigating.

About the Mental Health Technician Role:

Our Mental Health Technicians have meaningful interactions with patients through various activities, including:

  • Obtaining and Documenting Vital Signs: Ensuring accurate and timely recording of patients' vital signs.
  • Engaging in One-on-One Sessions: Providing individualized attention to patients to foster a supportive environment.
  • Discussing Patient Goals: Addressing psychosocial, spiritual, intellectual, and physical needs to help patients set and achieve their goals.
  • Identifying Potential Patient Care Problems: Being proactive in recognizing and addressing potential issues to improve patient care.
  • Collaborating with the Treatment Team: Working with other healthcare professionals to ensure the treatment plan is followed and to prevent adverse outcomes.
  • Reporting and Recording Patient Behaviors: Keeping detailed records of patient behaviors, interactions, and responses to interventions.

As part of the Rogers team, you'll have the chance to develop and progress in a mental health career with the potential to make a lasting impact by supporting patients in rising above their challenges of mental illness, addiction, and stigma.

Education/Training Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Be eighteen (18) years of age for all units. For Adolescent Units, must be at least 18 years old and at least 2 years older than the oldest resident.
  • Residential positions require a current active driver's license and be in good standing. Driver's license recommended but not required for inpatient positions.

A little more about the Registered Nurse (RN) Role:

  • Providing Professional Nursing Care: Delivering care to help patients regain and maintain physical, emotional, and social health.
  • Conducting Patient Assessments: Gathering and documenting patient data, including physical and psychosocial aspects, while involving their support system when appropriate.
  • Acting as a Patient Advocate: Ensuring patient rights, obtaining consents, and maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
  • Updating and Participating in Treatment Plans: Collaborating with the care team to develop, review, and update personalized treatment plans.
  • Administering Medications Safely: Following proper protocols for Medic*tion administration, monitoring patient responses, and documenting outcomes.
  • Responding to Emergencies: Identifying and addressing issues such as falls, self-harm risks, and adverse symptoms, using appropriate interventions.
  • Educating Patients and Families: Providing age-appropriate teaching before discharge and documenting education provided.

A little more about the Experiential Therapist Role (Art, Music, Recreation, Fitness):
  • Designing and Leading Therapy Programs: Develop, plan, and facilitate experiential groups tailored to patient needs in both inpatient and outpatient care.
  • Encouraging Healing Through Creativity & Activity: Use art, music, recreation, fitness, and other therapeutic outlets to help patients express themselves and build coping skills.
  • Collaborating with Care Teams: Partner with nurses, therapists, and other professionals to integrate experiential therapy into individualized treatment plans.
  • Providing Leadership & Mentorship: Support and mentor team members, contribute to staff training, and assist in maintaining department operations.
  • Documenting Progress: Evaluate, document, and monitor therapy outcomes in alignment with treatment goals.
  • Promoting Patient Safety & Growth: Build therapeutic relationships, guide patients in group dynamics, and use redirection and de-escalation techniques when needed.
  • Supporting Specialty Programming: Contribute to unique experiences such as pet therapy, adventure-based activities, horticulture, or challenge course programs.
