The Gogue Center presents country crooner Rodney Atkins at the Woltosz Theatre in Auburn—Friday, April 17, at 7 p.m.Atkins has become a mainstay of the country music scene and has charted at least one country radio single in three different decades—all while remaining on the same record label, Curb Records. That kind of commitment and longevity defines the man. He is an artist with multi-generational impact whose voice has been a mainstay on country radio, challenging all of us to be better—whether as a parent, a grandparent or someone who first heard him singing while eating a Happy Meal in a booster seat.
The Academy of Country Music Award-winning artist—whose voice is among the most recognizable and powerful in the genre—has amassed more than 4 billion global streams, six No. 1 radio singles and 16.5 million RIAA-certified units sold across nine singles and three albums. He has appeared on NBC’s "Today," "Good Morning America’s Strahan & Sara" and "FOX & Friends." His hit song “Watching You” was named Country Aircheck’s No. 1 Song of the Decade and earned Atkins a BMI “Million-Air” Award.
