We are happy to announce that the "Roda de choro" is back at Teatro Munganga. Once a month we organise this Brazilian roda (roundtable), where musicians familiar with choro can participate. This roda is led by Elizabeth Fadel on piano and Daniel Montes on 7-string guitar.
Choro is a Brazilian music style from Rio de Janeiro, from the 19th century. it mixes classical music like polca and march, with African rhythms like lundu and maxixe.
The combination makes people smile, singing and dance.
