A FREE event. Open to the public. No RSVP required. Designed for early childhood (3-8yrs). A play date with a purpose!
We’ll kick things off by building a fire and providing marshmallows for anyone who’d like to roast a sweet treat. While the fire is going, families are welcome to explore our play area. This is a great opportunity for prospective families to connect with current families, chat with our educators and meet our School Manager in a relaxed, fun setting.
Accessibility Needs
We try to ensure the accessibility of our events, but we recognize that we have not covered everything. We welcome feedback and suggestions as we learn and improve.
The First Unitarian Universalist Church (Red Oak’s home) is accessible via COTA bus lines #2, #102 and #33, COTA Mainstream service, as well as from the Olentangy Bike Trail.
Parking, the ROCS south entrance and the play area are all wheelchair accessible. There are no stairs/steps to access the building or the play area. The play area surface is mulch.
We will not be amplifying sound for this event.
Seating options in the play area consists of natural logs and there are two benches with arms in the play area. Just outside the play area are several plastic picnic tables under "carport" style tents.
There are two restrooms in the building that will be open for this even. Both restrooms have one accessible stall and while they are gendered, folks are welcome to use the bathroom that best fits their gender identity. There is one single stall bathroom available as well. Let us know if you need to know its location. (It's easier to explain in person.)
