The Rocky Mountain Kid Lit Festival returns to Billings for the third year this May. Presented by the Billings Public Library, with funding provided by Humanities Montana through grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities and Writers’ Voice, the festival connects young readers with published authors and illustrators.
Janet Fox: 11am - 11:50am - Read Wintergarden with author Janet Fox. Learn all about the story and have a Q & A with the author.
Rod Gottula: 12pm - 12:50pm - Meet the author of Double Not Half, Rod Gottula. Learn about diverse families and Japanese culture.
Jeanne Bowman: 1pm - 1:50pm - Meet illustrator Jeanne Bowman who creates whimsical books for children, including Charlie Russell and the Gnomes of Bull Head Lodge. Then learn how to think and create like an illustrator!
Sue Lawrence: 2pm - 2:50pm - Sue Lawrence, author of Montana’s Memory Day, will read her story that celebrates adoption. Learn about book making, too!
