Rockpool Safari - South Landing, Flamborough

Join our team and go in search of fascinating local marine life in the rockpools at South Landing, Flamborough. We’ll take you on a guided tour and explore the rocky shore as we search for starfish, seek out crabs and pursue sea slugs.

Please note, children must be supervised by an adult throughout the event.

This event is suitable for families. The beach is accessed via a 5-minute walk down a road. The event will involve walking over uneven ground on the rocky shore and on slippery surfaces. Please ensure to wear suitable footwear and to bring waterproof clothing. We will be walking through rockpools so waterproof shoes are required - wellies would be best.

What's at the Living Seas Centre?

The Living Seas Centre is an education centre near South Landing, Flamborough. There's plenty to explore in the area, from rockpooling at South Landing, to discovering the amazing 'seabird city' at Flamborough Cliffs nature reserve further around the headland.

What to bring/wear

This event takes place outside so brace yourself for the Yorkshire weather! We'd recommend sturdy and waterproof footwear or wellies and lots of layers.

There are toilets at the Living Seas Centre open daily.
