Experience the 2026 Rockford Area Arts Awards as we celebrate excellence across the Rockford Region’s creative community—from artists and performers to educators, innovators, organizations, and arts supporters.

This year, we proudly honor Rockford native Bob Greenblatt with the Symbol of Rockford Award, celebrating a hometown creative whose career has shaped iconic television, film, and theater—from The X-Files to HBO’s The Gilded Age.

Please allow time to park on campus and arrive at the theatre a few minutes before 6 pm—complementary food and a cash bar are available from 6-7:15 pm. The bar closes during the program and will reopen, with complimentary food from Lino's, when we continue the celebration at 9 pm.

• Enter Rockford University from Turner Street: Park in Lots B and C (closest lots to Maddox Theatre)
• Enter Rockford University from E. State Street: Parking Lot A will be on your right; there will be signage for walking to Maddox Theatre
