In this hands-on workshop, you will learn to create a handmade journal with the provided kit, from start to finish, using a Coptic stitch for the book block and crafting a fabric hardcover. Options include incorporating an envelope and a library pocket.We’ll also explore the rich colors of Daniel Smith’s Genuine (Primatek) watercolors - made from natural minerals and stones- with a guided introduction to my personal 12-color gemstone palette.The class will equip you to make your own journals from other materials in the future.

You will learn how to :

- how to construct a multi-signature journal using basic bookbinding tools and materials.- color wheel theory, creating your own color wheels using your art supplies at home-Introduction to gemstone pigments, their visual and symbolic properties

There is a supply kit fee made payable to the teacher day of class by cash or check. Please come prepared to pay this fee.
