This high energy benefit concert is more than a show—it’s a full on birthday blowout honoring two legendary New England musicians, while supporting a local charitable organization.
True to its promise of “Nothin’ but a Birthday Party,” the Rock n’ Roll Circus delivers wall to wall, high octane rock. The all star lineup is stacked with serious credentials, featuring 3 Grammy nominees, 3 New England Music Hall of Fame inductees, 2 Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame inductees, 1 Boston Music Hall of Fame inductee, a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominee, and more—a rare gathering of talent sharing one stage for one unforgettable night.
At the center of it all are James Montgomery and Danny “Ace on the Bass” Klein. A cornerstone of the New England music scene, Montgomery is known for his marathon, blues drenched performances that leave audiences buzzing long after the last note. Joining him is Klein, co founding member of the iconic J. Geils Band, whose unmistakable bass grooves have powered some of rock’s most enduring songs. Together, they anchor a night that’s equal parts tribute, party, and pure rock ’n’ roll release.
Adding even more fire to the celebration is Jon Butcher, widely regarded as one of Boston’s most influential guitarists. Known for Jon Butcher Axis and his work on Experience Hendrix tours, Butcher has shared stages with legends including Rush, Def Leppard, the Scorpions, and The J. Geils Band. Also joining the party is hometown favorite Johnny A., a Grammy nominee, Boston Music Award winner, and Boston Music Hall of Fame inductee, whose career spans acclaimed solo work, performances with Peter Wolf’s band, and his time in the Rock & Roll HoF band the Yardbirds.
