Learn the art of rock painting with mandalas, which are sacred circular works of art
Spend a few hours creating art with your favorite people! Join facilitator Andi Lewis at Prairiewoods for a fun time together as we learn the art of rock painting with mandalas, which are sacred works of art in the form of a circle. Using smooth stones, paints and fine dotting tools, we will make beautiful, detailed mandalas out of dots. This is a fun, relaxing process that can be done by anyone, regardless of age. We will have time to paint several rocks to decorate our desk or gussy up our garden! No experience or artistic skill is necessary, but kids 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. (It is ideal for ages 10 and older.) Everyone attending must register individually.
You will:
-Learn to use dotting tools to paint a dotted mandala on smooth rocks
-Relax into a calming creative process
-Leave with two works of art!
The cost is $20 and includes supplies.
