You've learned to lead and now are you're ready to tackle the next step in climbing- Multi-pitch climbing.Let the professional climbing guides of the Outdoor Adventure Club show you the way to take this next step armed with the best modern techniques to maximize your climbing efficiency and fun, while managing the risks involved. Spending a day in our multipitch class can save hours of climbing time, and the frustration of tangled ropes and cluttered belays when you are hundreds of feet off the ground. Learn to do it correctly and efficiently the first time!
In this full day class, we'll teach the following skills:
Multi-directional anchors for multi pitch climbing
Belaying a follower from above- using a Munter, Grigri, and autoblocking device
Rope management at belay stations
Efficient leader changes
Multi pitch rappel techniques
An introduction to self-rescue techniques
Several tips and tricks to make your climbing more efficient
As with all our climbing courses this is a hands on day. This isn't just a demonstration- you'll get a chance to practice each technique outlined in the course.
