ROCK CITY MUSIC COMPANY WELCOMES THE LEGENDARY PETER CRISS IN HIS FIRST DETROIT APPEARANCE IN MORE THAN 20 YEARS!

Rock City Music Company is honored to welcome rock and roll icon and legendary founding drummer of KISS, Peter Criss for a very special Meet & Greet event in celebration of the release of Peter's new solo album "Peter Criss", his first since 2007. This will be Peter's first appearance in Detroit in more than 20 years.
This is a very special two-day event with limited availability on both days.

Tickets are being sold in one-hour blocks to make check-in and wait times more manageable for staff and attendees.
An admission ticket is required to participate in this very special event

ADDITIONAL AUTOGRAPHS
Peter will sign up to four items. The autograph on the CD is included with the price of admission, and you can opt to purchase up to 3 additional autographs on items from your collection. These additional autographs can be purchased at $85 per item. Ticket holder will pay for their additional autographs on event day, directly prior to meeting Peter Criss.

Be Prepared: Credit Cards are not accepted for additional autographs. ATM located next door to RCMC

*If you'd like to exchange the included signature on Peter's CD for a fourth item from your collection, you may do so for an additional signing fee of $85 on event day

PLEASE NOTE
-Instruments: No musical instruments of any kind are permitted for entry/signature. This includes, but is not limited to, drums, drumsticks, drumheads, guitars, guitar parts, cases, microphones, etc.
-Books: Peter will not sign copies of the books “Nothin' to Lose,” “Sealed with a KISS,” or “Behind the Mask.”

-Records: Peter will not sign the Rockologists reissues of "Let Me Rock You" and "Out of Control." The original releases from Casablanca Records will be signed.

-Drumheads will be available at the event at Peter's table with proceeds going to charity.

PROFESSIONAL PHOTO-OP
Want your photo with the Catman? Ticketholders may purchase, in advance, a professional photo with Peter Criss. This photo-op includes a staged photo with Peter with his DW drum-kit. You'll receive a high-quality print of your photo with Peter while on site at the event, as well as a digital file to be emailed upon completion of the event. No tableside selfies or cell phone photos permitted. This is the only way you can get your picture with Peter. This add-on purchase carries a cost of $85 (plus taxes and fees) and can be purchased with your admission ticket under the "ADD-ONS" option on the ticketing page. Please be sure to select the applicable day to match your admission for the photo-op.
Photo Op Will take place at 7pm on Friday and 4pm On Saturday no matter your signing ticket time

Up to 2 (Two) Adults can be included in a single photo-op but both MUST have a valid admission ticket to purchase the photo-op add on.

About Peter Criss:
Peter Criss is a founding member and original drummer for the rock n' roll supergroup, KISS. In addition to playing drums in the band, Peter also provided lead vocals for a number KISS' most popular and memorable songs including Beth, Black Diamond, and Hard Luck Woman. Peter's Catman persona is an instantly recognizable icon in pop culture.

Peter was born Peter George John Criscuola on December 20th, 1945, in Brooklyn, NY. Influenced by the big band sound of the 1940s, Peter idolized the playing style of legendary drummer Gene Krupa, who eventually became instrumental in Peter's musical career. By the early 1970's Peter had established an active and successful career as a musician.

In 1973 Peter Criss formed a trio with fellow New York City musicians Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley who, with the later addition of Ace Frehley, would become KISS. When the bands fourth album, KISS Alive!, hit the scene, KISS began it's ascent to rock n' roll domination. Followed up by the mega-smash album, Destroyer, KISS fans were treated to an unlikely hit in the form of Beth. Initial sales for Destroyer were slow until radio stations started playing Beth, which was originally the B-side of the Detroit Rock City single. Written and performed by Peter Criss, Beth set aside the drums and guitars of the bands typical sound for piano and a string section. Beth went on to become KISS' highest charting single landing at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart and was awarded a People's Choice Award. With Beth, Peter Criss opened the door for drummers to come out from behind the drum set and fearlessly show their musical talents as songwriters and singers.

After numerous world tours, platinum albums, and KISS merchandise, Peter Criss left the band in 1980. He later embarked on a solo career that led to the release of Out of Control, Let Me Rock You, and most recently One for All, which land at number 35 on the Indy chart.

By popular demand, the original lineup of KISS reunited in 1996 for the year’s most successful tour. The Reunion Tour was followed up with the Psycho Circus album and tour, and finally the Farewell Tour. After the Farewell Tour, Peter briefly re-joined the band and appeared on the KISS Symphony: Alive IV album and DVD.
In 2007, Peter was diagnosed with male breast cancer, after overcoming the disease. Peter has become an advocate to bring awareness to both men and women that men are susceptible to breast cancer.

In October 2012, Peter Criss released his autobiography, Makeup to Breakup, giving an up close and personal view of everything from his NYC upbringing, his bout with cancer, music, life, love, and all things Catman! Makeup to Breakup broke the top ten on the New York Times Best Seller list, landing at number seven.

On April 10, 2014, Peter Criss was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a founding member of KISS. The Hall of Fame induction celebrates the original vision of KISS and the decades of influence and inspiration that Peter Criss and KISS have had on music and pop culture.

In December 2025, Peter Criss received the Kennedy Center Honor Medal along with the surviving members of KISS as well as released his solo album "Peter Criss 2025".
