                  Rochester Symphony conductor Chia-Husan Lin reveals how music captures the deep connection between nature, culture, and tradition in three beloved pieces of music: Dvorak’s Czech Suite, Sarasate’s Zigeunerweisen (Gypsy Airs), and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 (“Pastoral” Symphony). Special guest - Rochester Symphony Concertmaster, Alexandra Bartoi - will share excerpts on violin.The presentation is one hour in length. It is free and open to the public. No advance registration is required.
Each of the pieces discussed will be performed in full at Rochester Symphony's ECHOES OF THE EARTH concert on November 8th for those who would like to hear them performed live. Learn more at
