About this Event
This symposium will begin a sector-wide, Rochdale-specific conversation about what environmental responsibility really means, what obstacles might be in our way, and what support is needed for us to achieve it.
Join us for a day discussing environmental responsibility in the arts and culture sector in Rochdale. We know that science, the government, local authorities, funders, and our audiences demand we take action to reduce our environmental impact...and for good reason! However sometimes even knowing where to start in this area can be a daunting task.
You do not need to have prior understanding of environmental responsibilty to attend!
Attendees of the symposium will also be offered first refusal of the opportunity of fully subsidised Carbon Literacy training worth £110.
- Expert Panel on Environmental Responsibility (Arts Council, GMAST, RBC).
- Group workshops and discussion to build our own dream, environmentally responsible cultural organisations.
- Rochdale specific examples of work already being done.
- Tools and Resources to achieve environmental responsibility.
- Live environmental impact reporting.
- A free, environmentally responsible lunch from Manchester-based Open Kitchen, where all food is saved from waste (there will of course be teas and coffees too!).
- Networking
Please contact us directly if you have any specific access requirements.
This is an event for Rochdale-based arts and culture professionals and organisations.
We look forward to welcoming you on the 16th October!
