ROC & Roots Dinner & Dessert Auction
May 30, 2026
6pm-10:00pm
Rochester, NY
Join us for an evening of music, friendship, tasty food, shared experiences, and a lively dessert auction featuring delectable desserts from area bakers. Music will be provided by North 43. In addition to the dinner and dessert auction, guests can participate in a butterfly release, enjoy a cash bar, bid on silent auction items, and hear from a survivor of sex trafficking.
The event supports residents of the Potter’s Hands Foundation, which is a privately funded, national 501 c(3) organization committed to serving survivors of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation. The Foundation helps our daughters heal so they can come home and live the life God intended.
Fully 20% of trafficked survivors who heal at the Potter’s Hands Foundation can trace their roots to Western New York, including our own beloved city. Rochester, NY, was built on the legacy of resilience, justice, and freedom. Fredrick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony, two of the most powerful figures in the abolitionist and women’s rights movements, called “The ROC” home. We are all too familiar with slavery, though it looks very different than it did in the 1800s. Today’s victims are from every race and religion; they are our sisters and daughters. They live in our our city, the surrounding suburbs, and communities across the nation. These women find themselves ensnared by oppressive messages that make them question their worth, misunderstand their God-given roles in relationships, and fall victim to modern-day slavery … all of which fuels a shameful $150 billion industry.

At The Potter’s Hands Foundation, we are on the front lines of this fight, providing survivors with a safe, long-term healing space to rebuild their lives. We are a privately funded national 501(c)(3) organization that neither receives nor seeks government funding. This means every dollar we raise directly impacts the lives of those who need it most. We give them the tools they need to heal, rebuild their lives, and break free from the horrific cycle of exploitation. We give them hope.
