Team up with fellow robot enthusiasts or dare to embark solo on the journey to build your own 150g Antweight Battlebot robot and go up against the best in our custom robot combat arena!

We have tailored Robot Royale specifically to be totally beginner-friendly and open to all robotics enthusiasts across Australia! It will now be run as a 2-day competition where the first day is a last minute build/practice session and the second day is when the CARNAGE begins😈😈

🙋🏼♂️ Who can participate: Anyone!
Have no experience building a cool Antweight battlebot? Or maybe you just want to work on your robot alongside other competitors. Fear not for we will now also be running 🛠️WEEKLY WORKSHOPS🛠️ catered specifically to teach you everything you need to know from scratch. We will guide you through step-by-step how to get started with building and controlling your very own 150g Antweight Battlebot robot!! You get to make it as destructive or as cool as you want.
🔧 Week 1 & 2 - Intro, kit handover
🔧 Week 3 - Sketching & cardboard prototyping
🔧 Week 4 - CAD, 3D printer slicing
🔧 Week 5 - Soldering & robot assembly
🔧 Week 7 - Radio Setup & Control practice
🔧 Week 8 - Spinner / lifter design, brushless motors & servos
🔧 Week 9 - Mini practice tournament
😛Week 10 - Extras and Social event
💪🏼Saturday 7th December (after exams) - Final build day
🏆Sunday 8th December (after exams) - Tournament!
Run every Tuesday in UNSW T3 5-8pm, at UNSW MCIC Makerspace, these workshops are an excellent place to cultivate your maker skills and get to meet like-minded people (or rivals!).
