Join us at Robins Hobby Café on Sunday, 31st August from 2pm to 6pm for an exciting Speed Puzzling event! Put your puzzle-solving skills to the test as an individual competitor—puzzles will be provided on the day.
What Is Speed Puzzling?
Speed puzzling is the high-energy, fast-paced cousin of traditional jigsaw puzzling. Unlike the leisurely, meditative approach many puzzlers take, speed puzzling is all about completing puzzles as quickly and efficiently as possible—whether solo or in teams. It combines time pressure, strategy, spatial awareness, and a bit of adrenaline to transform puzzling into a competitive, goal-oriented pursuit.
In recent years, speed puzzling has grown from a niche hobby into a full-blown competitive scene. Online tournaments, in-person championships, and global puzzle clubs are drawing attention to the skills and strategies behind rapid puzzle-solving. But you don’t have to be a seasoned speed puzzler to get started—in fact, it’s more accessible than you might think.
While the session is free, we kindly ask for a donation, with all contributions going to the Mae Murray Foundation (a collection bucket will be available on the day).
The event will take place in our café setting, where a variety of food and drinks will be available for purchase. We kindly ask that participants do not bring their own food or beverages. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
