Robin Pippin “Writing as Spiritual Practice” 3-hour workshop

In her poem “Sometimes,” Mary Oliver gives these instructions for living a life: “Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it.” In this 3-hour workshop, Robin will be leading on how to pay attention to our lives through writing. She’ll use simple, short writing prompts as practice. Learn how regular writing can be a tool for listening to God and to your own heart.
Robin recently retired as Executive Director of Publishing at the United Methodist Publishing House. She has led writing workshops and retreats in the U.S. and in several countries in Africa. Now as an editorial consultant and spiritual director, she accompanies writers through their writing and publishing journeys. She has a special interest in helping people use writing as a spiritual practice.
Robin makes her home in Nashville, Tennessee, is married to Tim Pippin, has three young adult children (Rachel, Becca, and Paul), and is the proud grandmother of Solveig and Alf.
