What’s on the menu: We are planning for old-school Picnic cuisine—Feel free to bring your coolers filled with picnic goodies to share. The park provides small charcoal grills. Some folks are planning to use a grill to make a hotdog bar to share. Want to use one of the grills? Reach out to Sharmon at 301-401-4099.

For the kids: The park has two playgrounds, train ride around the park, carousel ride and mini golf. Let us know how many children you will bring so we can make sure to have enough tickets for them. Feel free to bring your chess, checkers, dominoes, cards, favorite board games, horseshoes, croquet,bocce ball, volleyball/badminton set...

Outdoor Games: Organize games like kickball, baseball, flag football, sack races, three-legged races, tug-of-war, and frisbee. You can also set up a volleyball or badminton net. We even have jerseys so we can form teams and make things real interesting!! Reach out to 301-401-4099 for help coordinating the teams.

Music: Everyone can be a DJ nowadays!!! Feel free to bring your favorite playlist. There will be battery-powered, bluetooth speakers available.

What's Happening!

Family Pictures (Group Photo): We will have a photo booth for individual family pictures. A group photo will be taken at 5pm each day to commemorate our special day.

Photo Slideshow: If you would like to contribute to the digital slideshow, reach out to 301-401-4099. Send or Bring old photos or mementos to add to the slideshow. The slideshow will play during the event on both days. Let's celebrate our shared history and create new bonds.

Family Talent Show: We know there are some talented people in our family. If you would like to showcase your talents, whether it's singing, dancing, playing an instrument, or performing a skit, reach out to 301-401-4099 to get on the agenda.

Family Tree Project: You can help us create a large family tree. Instructions will be provided before and during the event.

Storytelling Session: Gather around and share stories about family history, funny incidents, or significant moments. Reach out to 301-401-4099 to get on the agenda.

Memory Jar: Write down your favorite memories or things you are thankful for or a prayer request. The messages will be read aloud each day. You can either text your message by August 15 to 301-401-4099 or put it in the jar when you arrive. Paper and pencil will be provided.

Have any campers in the family?

The park offers primitive tent camping for small or large groups. Sadly, no RV’s though. There are thirty (30) individual sites and three (3) group sites at the Park. Comfort stations with hot showers are available for use.

The individual campsites are available for groups of six (6) people or less with no more than two (2) adults and are offered on a first come, first served basis.

Reservations must be completed online and canceled at least 48-hours in advance. An after-hours drop box is available for late night, weekend and holiday arrivals. Contact the park to book campsites:
