Reliving the time when our fighting soldiers celebrated one last bug hurrah before heading off to battle. – and THEY CELEBRATED IN STYLE!

At the same time, we’ll recognize and celebrate a tribute to our members in the Armed Forces at one of the oldest and most respected military bases for a fantastic multi-part Gala. Welcome to Ft. Myer!

This is the perfect event for everyone with plenty of chances to meet new friends through dance lessons, dinner and a late night party.

Following an elegant dinner and special tribute to our armed forces, we’ll break out into a three part music celebration featuring:

A) Exclusive review of the United States Army Color Guard (Pending approval)

B) ELEGANT DINNER:

American Classic Designer Salad
Breast of Chicken Picatta
Decadent Ice Cream

A cash bar will be available as well.

C) SWING DANCING WITH LESSONS

Imagine yourself in the U.S. Armed Services at the height of World War II. A long way from home, you yearn for music, dance, company and the chance to hold a special someone in your arms. You head down to the local canteen. The hall is draped in red, white, and blue. The floor is filled with servicemen and their sweethearts, dancing to the joyous sound of Swing. The spirit, style, and sound of that unforgettable time are recreated in this special gala recreating the USO Dances with the excitement of a World War II canteen during the swing era. Tonight, we recreate this with incredible Swing Dancing evoking the best Swing bands from the 1930s, 1940s, combined with the best Swing music over the last ten years.

Swing isn’t your thing? Well, for a special Latin touch, we invite you to dance to our featured Salsa music Our DJ serves up a varied repertoire spiced with traditional Cuban son, cha-cha-cha and merengue.

E) LATE NIGHT RETRO AND TOP 40:
If all this was not enough, we now break out into the great hits of the 1970s, 80s, 90s, and today! Join one of Washington’s hottest DJs and your favorite party hits as High Energy Beats takes us through the remainder of the evening at this special venue.

F) OPTIONAL TOUR OF THE BASE:

We are trying to arrange an optional tour of the base prior to the gala. If you are interested in the tour, please let us know after you purchase tickets for the gala by emailing [email protected].

Note: Every attendee MUST have proper picture Identification before being allowed onto the base. If you do not have ID, you will not be allowed on and we cannot grant you a refund.

Black Tie, Semi-Formal, or vintage wear encouraged. Our members in the armed forces are encouraged to wear their military dress uniforms.
