Roam & Reflect - Mindful Hike at Pine Mountain

What to expect:

• We will meet up in the parking lot near the trailhead. *If you are running late, please communicate via text or call with the organizer. We will set off on the trail no later than 11:30, so please plan accordingly.
• Before we begin, the group will engage in some light, dynamic stretches and a reflection/conversation prompt led by Coach Ari.
• We will begin a moderately-paced hike through the woods as a group. You are encouraged to keep your eye out for interesting plants, mushrooms, and wildlife along the way.
• At the top of the mountain, we will take a 20-30 minute break to refuel with water, snacks, reflect and enjoy the view with all the beautiful colors of all the leaves changing. *Feel free to bring a hammock/picnic blanket or sack lunch for this time.
• After completing the hike, we will close by stretching the main muscle groups used, while holding space for those who would like to share their reflections on the earlier prompt.

FUEL BEFORE YOU HIKE! Be sure to eat something before the hike and bring PLENTY of water, extra if it will be hot. Though this hike is rated moderate, we will be exerting energy, so please plan accordingly. *We will have a emergency First Aid supplies on hand, but would rather not have to use it! :D

• Filled water bottle (Please bring more than you think you will need)
• Snacks or sack lunch
• Backpack/fanny pack
• Wear supportive shoes suitable for walking on an unpaved trail (their may be roots, rocks and other obstacles to navigate)

• Journal & writing utensil
• Pets on a leash (please only bring well-socialized, furry friends with an up-to-date rabies vaccine)
