Roadrunners AC Couch to 5k (C25k) 2026

Our first Couch to 5k was so good we just had to have another one! Lace up your running shoes and get ready to have fun, get fit and make new friends. Whether you're a beginner or just looking to get back into running, this in-person event is perfect for you!

Roadrunners AC Couch to 5K (C25K) is an 8 week programme for adults of all abilities who wish to increase their physical activity and start running under the direction of UK Athletics qualified coaches with the aim of being able to run a continuous 5K (3.1miles) at the end of the 8-week programme.

Roadrunners AC Couch to 5K will take place on Wednesdays from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM and Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM beginning on Wednesday 7th January 2026 for 8 weeks, led by coaches in running fitness (CIRFs), Jack Sinclair and Chris Maher.

Our meeting point for sessions is Musgrave Park, Belfast (BT9 7JB). Further instructions will be shared to closer to the start date and before sessions begin.

The sessions will include a variety of walking/jogging/running activities encouraging progression each week to build up to a 5K graduation event (Local parkrun in Belfast TBC closer to the time) on Saturday 28th February 2026.

All participants will receive 8 weeks of coaching for FREE!

Don't worry if you've never run before or if you think you're not fit enough. Our supportive community will cheer you on every step of the way. You'll also be invited to a WhatsApp Group for training details, support and motivation throughout your journey! 🙌🏻
