Randy McDonald’s Road Dog Revue - Featuring Johnny Vernazza (Voted “Best Blues Artist” San Diego 2025) returns to Beaumont's in the heart of his old neighborhood.
Drawing from Randy's solo recording, "On The Wildside," and some tunes co-written with Tommy Castro, the group explores diverse genres like R&B, 50's Rock'n'Roll, Tex-Mex Border Rock, Swing, and Boogie. As a major contributor to Tommy Castro’s music, Randy has been a driving force since the band's inception. As Philip Elwood (San Francisco Examiner) once noted, "Randy McDonald creates intricate basslines that weave through the tunes, and he can take the lead on raucous R&B and original songs."
Guitarist Johnny Vernazza formerly with Elvin Bishop Group. Elvin and Johnny's dual lead and slide parts set a style that was part of the Southern Rock Sound and continues to live on today. This included the hit record “Fooled around and fell in love”.
