ROACH SHOW at STITCH AND DESTROY

Summer time is back, and so are the roaches! They're here forever, just like textile waste. But at STITCH AND DESTROY we like to transform scraps into works of art. ROACH SHOW features the work of 30 local Philly artists, including sculpture, painting, mixed media, fiber art, and bolo ties!

Opening Reception is on Friday, August 28th from 5-8 PM at STITCH AND DESTROY

Enjoy free craft beers and cidars from Ploughman Farm Cider and Cartesian Brewing, as well as roach-themed treats.

In our studio, get creative with Eden Elysian hosting a Bug Hotel craft. Made from recycled paper and foraged natural materials, they are a perfect addition to your garden! Pay-what-you-wish, recommended $10-$15 donation.

Plus, we will have limited edition Roach Show shirts for sale! Screen-printed by The Warped Cherub on pre-loved garments

The reception is a part of Fourth Fridays on South Street. The exhibition will conclude on November 1st.

STITCH AND DESTROY is located right off of South Street on 4th St in Philadelphia. Our address is 523 S 4th St. Philadelphia, PA 19147.

There is limited metered street parking on our block and in this area it can be difficult to find parking. We suggest taking public transportation- Bus 40, 57, 12, 47, 42 and 21 are nearby. The Market-Frankford (L) Line 5th St stop is 7 blocks away. The Broad Street (B) Line Lombard-South stop is 10 blocks away.
