WOMEN'S DAY A SEMIQUINCENTENNIAL MUSEUM EXHIBIT AND OPEN HOUSE CELEBRATION EVENT
As we commemorate the Semiquincentennial for our nation, Marian The American Story Women's Day Exhibit Open House Celebration is an extraordinary FREE event that honors our great Marian Andersons momentous mark in American Music, her Historic Achievements, her Humanitarianism, her support of the greater Community, and her contribution to the fabric of our nation's history as well as paying tribute to heroic Women in our city and community. This day of celebration will feature an exhibit like no other in Marian Anderson's home the national historical landmark with complete free admission. Attendees will experience historic guided tours throughout all three floors of the museum and view the rare collection of Artifacts for this exhibit including Marian Andersons stellar Performance Gowns, rare Photos, Historic Letters, Recordings, Paintings and Artwork, Documentaries on the flatscreens, Historic Music Instruments, Furniture, Historic Medals and Awards. The day will also feature Live Music Performances on the interior and exterior of the museum, Food and Refreshments, giveaways, including a special Tribute to the Honorable Jacquelyn Frazier-Lyde 8X Sports Hall of Famer Former 5X Champion Boxer, and so much more.
