Riverside Music Series - Better Than Ezra with Marina City

The Riverside Music Series returns to Mayo Park this July and August with five weeks of free Sunday night concerts along the riverfront. For more than 30 years, Riverside has been a Rochester summer tradition, bringing the community together for evenings filled with music, food and connection.

This summer’s lineup brings a wide range of artists and energy to the stage, continuing a tradition of free concerts that turn Mayo Park into a place where people come together—for music, for food and for summer nights that feel like Rochester at its best.

Better Than Ezra is a New Orleans-based rock band that has remained a staple of modern rock since forming in 1988 at Louisiana State University. Led by founding members Kevin Griffin and Tom Drummond, the group became widely known for melodic guitar-driven songs and reflective songwriting, breaking through with the hit album Deluxe, which featured favorites like “Good,” “In the Blood,” and “Rosealia.” Decades later, Better Than Ezra continues to tour nationally and headline major festivals, delivering the same energetic live performances and timeless rock sound that built their enduring fan base.
