Every year, Riverside Avondale Preservation is pleased to honor individuals, organizations, and businesses within our historic district that exemplify outstanding achievements in historic preservation and service.Register today and join us on Thursday, Feb. 20th for our 51st Annual Meeting where we will recognize achievements from 2024 and look at what’s to come in 2025.
This event is free to attend; with light bites and drinks from local businesses will be available.
NOMINATIONS FOR SERVICE AND DESIGN AWARDS:
Have you seen a restoration or rehab project in the neighborhood you want to nominate? We are looking for commercial and/or residential projects of consequence completed in 2024 for consideration during our annual Preservation Awards.
Know someone who goes above and beyond for the neighborhood. The annual Service Awards are for individuals or programs that made the neighborhood better in 2024

ANNUAL MEETING: ART AUCTION!
Take the chance to bring home this one-of-a-kind, original art piece by local artist and muralist Tatiana Kitchen. Tatiana was the chosen artist for our 40th annual Luminaria for her artistic interpretation of the spirit of the signature holiday event while bringing her unique style. The artwork is 16×20 and will be framed.
About the artist: Tatiana is a sought-after muralist and fine artist in Jacksonville, in addition to serving as a visual arts instructor at The Jacksonville Art and Music School. Tatiana’s work has been showcased in major venues across Florida, including Art Basel Miami, the Orlando Museum of Art, and The New Orleans African American Museum. She has also shown locally at The Ritz Theater and Museum and several exhibitions at Yellow House. Her art has been featured in notable publications such as VOID Magazine, FOLIO Weekly, and First Coast News’ Black History Month Features. Primarily self-taught, Tatiana also received formal training at the nationally recognized Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, where she majored in visual arts.
