We are incredibly excited to announce our May trip to Oulton Broad, where we have a 90 minute sightseeing and marshland cruise on The Waveney Princess.A delightful cruise along the Norfolk/Suffolk border travelling through the grazing marshlands on the Angles Way and taking in the waterside village of Burgh St Peter.
Our tour starts at Mutford Lock which is frequently seen in operation allowing coastal craft access to the Broads. The Waveney Princess has an open top deck offering panoramic views over the Broadland landscape and is an excellent viewing platform for wildlife. As we sail along Reed Warblers and Reed Buntings can often be heard singing from the reed beds and Marsh Harriers sometimes fly with us alongside the boat.
The river Waveney is also famous for its floating yellow water lilies which start blooming during May.
The cost of this trip is £35, which includes the sailing, coach and hot drink and a muffin or flap jack on board.
Our sailing is at 2pm 🕑 however, we hope to arrive around midday 🕛, giving you chance to explore the local shops, restaurants and cafes.
