The Second Annual River Valley Film Festival returns to downtown Williamsport from July 17–19, 2026, building on a first year that brought international independent films, engaged audiences, and a strong sense of community to Williamsport. Presented by Lycoming Arts, the festival continues its focus on thoughtful, filmmaker-driven work while inviting audiences to discover new voices and new stories on the big screen.
Over three days, RVFF will present a curated lineup of narrative features, documentaries, shorts, and late-night programming, including the addition of a Late Night Shorts block and a Late Night Feature for year two. Our 2026 selections will be announced at the end of May, with films once again representing a range of perspectives and regions.
New this year, the festival will also include industry panels that bring filmmakers and film professionals into conversation with audiences and emerging creators. Panel topics and guests will be announced alongside the full lineup, offering another way to engage with the creative and practical sides of independent filmmaking.
Red Carpet Friday on July 17 will close West Fourth Street and set the tone for the weekend with vendors, music, food, and an opening night screening at the AMC theatre. Screenings will continue on Saturday and Sunday, with details on showtimes, ticketing, and awards, available as we get closer to the festival dates.
Whether you joined us in year one or are discovering RVFF for the first time, this weekend is designed to feel welcoming, local, and independent at its core. Save the dates, watch for our lineup and panel announcements at the end of May, and plan to spend a few days with stories that could only have come from the world of independent film.
