James is a singer and multi-instrumentalist originally from the UK.
He has lived in Hanoi for… a long time.
He enjoys mini-golf, the works of Pablo Neruda, long walks on the beach at dusk accompanied by his pet jaguar, and telling tall tales.
He also enjoys writing about himself in the 3rd person.
James has played in bands like The Mansion Family, Đwellies and Because I Said So. He has been in England, a bit bored, all summer, and has been working hard on music that he can play and sing by himself. And to celebrate his return to Vietnam, he’s going to play and sing some of that music, by himself, at JamBox on Tuesday 25th of August.
He has prepared two(!) sets for the occasion. The first one consists solely of songs originally written and performed by American neo-folk harpist Joanna Newsom.
The second one will be some other random covers and some of his original songs.
He would like it if you came to listen. But if you don’t want to, that’s fine too.
