River Queens Guided Paddling Series

Prairie Island Campground and the Will Dilg Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America invite you to join us on the quiet backwaters of the Mississippi for River Queens—a weekly guided paddling series rooted in community, confidence-building, and joy on the river.
Whether you already have your own canoe or kayak or would like to rent a boat and paddle alongside a new friend, all experience levels are welcome. Together, we'll explore the backwaters, build skills throughout the season, and deepen our connection to the Mississippi River one paddle at a time.
Throughout the summer, participants will have opportunities to grow their confidence on the water and perhaps even consider joining one of the races during the Bluffs to Backwaters celebration in August.
Cost is $20 to paddle with a new or old friend (canoe or tandem kayak), $30 to paddle your own sit-on-top kayak, or donation to paddle your own boat. Costs to cover guides and equipment (boats, paddles & PFD's)
