We’re proud to introduce the River Bluff Trail Runs, the first official race hosted by Pony Express Trail Runners!
This is more than just a race… it’s the beginning of something bigger for our local trail and ultrarunning community. Whether you’re new to trails or a seasoned ultrarunner, come be part of something special.

🌲 ABOUT THE EVENT
Experience some of the best trails in St. Joe as you run through:
• Historic Krug Park
• River Bluff Trail Park overlooking the Missouri River
Expect scenic views, steep climbs, and a true trail running challenge.

🏁 DISTANCES
• 50K ULTRA!!!! (2 loops ~4,000 ft gain)
• 25K (1 loop ~2,000 ft gain)
• 10K
From your first 10K to your next (or first) ultra, we’ve got a distance for you!

⏰ START TIMES
• 50K & 25K – 8:00 AM
• 10K – 10:00 AM
• 9-hour cutoff (5:00 PM)

💧 AID & SUPPORT
• Fully stocked aid stations every ~4 miles
• Drop bag option at the start/finish
• Clearly marked course (no one’s getting lost out there 😉)

Pony Express Trail Runners is a Northwest Missouri trail & ultrarunning 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on:
• Building a stronger running community
• Hosting trail & ultra events
• Getting more people especially youth outside and active
We also host regular group runs and collaborate with local groups like Measly Mile Mafia and Saint Joseph Trail Alliance.
