The next session is led by Ewa Marcinek as a part of the Multilingual Writing LAB project at Ós Pressan. During the Tangled Tongue session, we will find new creative ways in which using multiple languages can inspire our writing. Ewa will also offer a quick sneak peek into NoMuLAB (Nordic Multimedia Writing LAB), an online education platform that will launch at the end of May.
The session will be in English, with optional support in Polish and basic Icelandic.
Ewa Marcinek is a Polish-Icelandic writer and cultural organiser, and a co-founder of several literary and artistic initiatives, including Ós Pressan and RVK Poetics. She is the author of Polishing Iceland (2022). Her poetry, essays, and short stories have been published and adapted for theatre, film, visual art, music, and radio.

Ritrými í Reykjavík / Reykjavík in Writing is a community-driven writing workshop series hosted at MENGI. The workshops are multilingual and admission is free. Together, we will explore creativity, poetry, publishing, multilingual writing, and more through shared practice, conversation, and guest-led sessions.
Writers of all backgrounds and experience levels are welcome.
The first six meetings (March–May 2026) will be hosted by Ewa Marcinek, with guest writers and poets: Daniel Roh, Brynja Hjálmsdóttir, and Ragnar Helgi Ólafsson.
Ritrými í Reykjavík is co-founded by Reykjavík UNESCO City of Literature and ALO Ísland, a non-profit organisation working in community learning.
This event is co-created with Ós Pressan through the project Multilingual Writing LAB, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
