PERFORMERS BIO:
ZaZa Flamenca is a dynamic world music ensemble hailing from St. Augustine and New York. The group features French-Israeli singer, songwriter, and guitarist Yael ZaZa Flamenca, Argentinian guitar virtuoso Gabriel Hermida, and Puerto Rican drummer and percussionist Orlando Noel Muñiz.
The full band delivers a rich and vibrant sound with three vocals, two classical guitars, and percussion, captivating audiences with their passion and musical precision. Fusing Flamenco, Latin Jazz, and a distinctive Latin Vibe, ZaZa Flamenca is celebrated for their fiery and energetic performances, earning critical acclaim across both the Sunshine State and the Empire State. With each performance, ZaZa Flamenca ignites the stage in a thrilling display of virtuosity and the world’s most seductive rhythms—all infused with their unique flair and global influences.
Yael Zaza is a French-Israeli singer, songwriter, and guitarist with a powerful voice and captivating stage presence. After careers across Europe and Latin America, she launched her music journey in New York, earning a Jazz Master’s from Queens College and opening for Grammy winner Leo Dan. Fluent in 10 languages, Yael brings global depth to her performances, with a deep passion for flamenco music at the heart of her artistry. After leaving a tech career at age 30, she now inspires others through her music and story. She is currently working on a Bossa Nova covers album.
Gabriel Hermida is an Argentinian guitarist and composer from Mar del Plata. He began performing at age 7 and rose to prominence in Buenos Aires as a member of the Bagunça Big Band and founder of the Trio Hermida. A winner of the Bienal del Arte Joven award, he has toured internationally and composed for film.Now based in the U.S., Gabriel blends tango, bossa nova, Latin folk, and jazz, performing at top venues like Lincoln Center, Blue Note, and Central Park SummerStage. His recent performances include shows in New York, Oklahoma, and Monte Carlo with Savion Glover.
Orlando Noel Muñiz is a professional drummer and percussionist from Puerto Rico, known for his remarkable versatility across styles—from South American folk and flamenco to rock, funk, reggae, and jazz. His ability to authentically blend global rhythms makes him an ideal fit for ZaZa Flamenca. Based in St. Augustine, Florida, Orlando performs regularly both locally and internationally.
