APALA LA and the UCLA Labor Center's Asian American Racial Justice Project are hosting an AANHPI worker summit on Saturday, July 25th in Little Tokyo!
This in person event will be a gathering for AANHPI workers, activists, and community members. We're especially looking to create a space to lift up the leadership and experiences of folks who are new to the labor movement and are young or emerging leaders in their respective unions or worker organizations.
We aim to provide an opportunity for AANHPI workers to join together around these shared goals:
🌊 Build and recognize our shared identity
🌊 Build shared consciousness about why we are gathering here, why now (urgency of current moment)
🌊 Ground ourselves in the context of LA labor movement
